Time standards are used for a variety of reasons. Among them are: to give swimmers goals that they can attain and to help limit the size of swim meets. Most of the of time standards are maximum times (slowest) a swimmer may obtain. Some of the common time standards seen are: B, BB, A, AA, AAA, AAAA, Age Group, Senior, Sectionals, and Zones. There are different times for each of these and they are consistently updated every 1-3 years. To see the times for the different standards, select the list desired from the menu on the left.
