SEAHAWK STROKE SCHOOL
Fall 2010, Winter & Spring 2011 Sessions
The Seahawk Stroke School is designed to offer competitive stroke technique instruction for swimmers age 6 thru 18 years old. Five (5) year olds who can comfortably swim multiple lengths may be eligible, but must be evaluated before registering for this program. Calling our office for an appointment to have your swimmer evaluated is recommended if your swimmer is coming from swim lessons or has never been part of a competitive stroke instruction class. Families can register their swimmers to participate in one or two classes per week. The goals of the SEVA Stroke School are:
1. To offer the best stroke instruction for competitive swimming in eastern Virginia
2. To offer a program for swimmers to improve their technique, become a stronger swimmer and increase their confidence in their
skill level.
3. Improve fitness while improving on swimming technique.
4. Offer a program for swimmers who would like to participate once or twice a week.
The Stroke School is great for preparing swimmers who, in the near future, would like to participate in competitions by joining the SEVA Seahawk Swim Team. This program also works well for the swimmer who participates in many different activities and would like to continue to stay active for technique instruction, physical fitness, and the fun of swimming.
Stroke School Session Dates and Cost
Registration Fee: $25 per swimmer participating in the Stroke School. Paid one time per season (September and July), not per session.

SEVA is proud to be a partner with the Northern Neck YMCA in running our swimming programs. We strongly believe in and support the YMCA commitment to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

4:30-5:30p (13 & older swimmers and some 11 & 12 year olds, depending on experience.)

6:00-7:00p (all 12 & under swimmers and some 13 & 14 year olds, depending on experience.)

Registration dates are as follows:
Fall Session - Registratrion Starts Approximately August 25, 2010
Winter Session - Registration Starts December 1, 2010
Spring Session - Registration Starts March 1, 2011
Additional Information:
* Class space is given on a first come, first serve basis.
* Families must designate specific day(s) their swimmer(s) will attend.
* Changes may be made upon request and approval from the SEVA administrative office, only as space is available.
